Buildings play a critical role

In Europe, 40% of our energy use is consumed in buildings. This is more than the energy used by industry or transport. By far the biggest users of energy are buildings, mainly our homes.

This means the largest contribution to saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions will come from driving energy efficiency in buildings.  One of the easiest and most important ways we can save energy is through insulating our buildings.

Global CO² reduction potential in 2030The financial savings from insulation greatly exceed the investment costs - insulation in the average building pays for itself within two to four years.

Find out how insulation works, why it's the most cost-effective and sustainable energy saving product you can buy and learn about the different options to upgrade your home's energy rating.
